The United states is the world largest car market, car dealers, antic cars collectors and other privet buyers prefer to by there car in the US. And why? It’s the most affordable price, cheaper then any other place in our little globe and mostly convenient.

One of the many items that you would be shipping is your vehicle, as it is far cheaper than buying a new one on the other end! There are many things you need to be aware of when looking at auto transportation, which includes looking out for services, looking into customs & regulations, looking into shipping methods, and looking into what

Insurance the auto carrier has in case of any damage that may occur to your vehicle. It is important for you to realize that every reputable auto carrier does not cover any personal contents that are inside or outside of the vehicle during shipping. Therefore its not recommended shipping personal items inside your vehicle.

If you do, this is entirely at your own risk. Other items that you should take into consideration is the charges that will be incurred for your vehicle's weight and the time factor it will take in receiving your vehicle at your new location. As you would assume, interstate and international take considerably different times.

When you are looking at different auto carrier methods, international auto transport is different from other types. Although what may seem a daunting task, shipping your vehicle internationally does not necessarily mean it needs to be difficult. Unlike an interstate or local move, it would be a very good idea to obtain additional insurance just as you insure your house hold goods while there on transit for all marine risk coverage, the same is advised with vehicles.

Since you will be shipping your vehicle inside a container in most cases you’re not required for a full marine coverage and you can pay less for total lost coverage. The Total lost coverage will cover damages of total lost. On a full marine coverage which will include All Risk you can actually include some personal belongings inside your vehicle, which, of course, need to be insured for loss or damage. You can also obtain auto transport and tax deductible claims for shipping costs that can be used on your year end tax returns. Pls. note that custom offices overseas are not happy with personal goods on vehicle while transport, Therefore it’s your and only your decision to add goods on transport.

Above all, you need to choose an auto transport company that not only is reputable but has the proper paperwork and is actively registered with the Department of Transportation along with the credentials required to transport motor vehicles. As with any shipping or moving of cargo and belongings, you need to discuss with the auto transporter the exact timeline of shipping your auto.

There are two types for international auto shipping #1. Ro Ro  # 2. via Container
Not like HHG (House Hold Goods) most cars are transported via containers, which in most cases drop prices by consolidating cars onto on cont
ainer. This does not apply on all destination always check with your shipper what is the best way to transport your vehicle.

Ro Ro – Roll on Roll off
The cars and other vehicles are loaded onto the vessel.

The Good: in some cases it’s cheaper and faster then container load
The Bad: the car is exposed for damages such as small bumps or mirror broken, light broken etc.

Container consolidated or exclusive

The Good: The vehicle is more secure and braced onto the box, the risk of damage is lower, you can add goods onto vehicle risk free, and you can have your on exclusive container your one box.
