DOCUMENTS REQUIRED
• Certificate of change of residence
• "Attestation Reservation de cale"
• Employment letter from company
• Detailed valued inventory in French, signed and dated by the customer

CUSTOMS REGULATIONS
• Used household goods in reasonable quantities for personal use may be duty-free
• All shipments physically inspected

DUTIABLE/RESTRICTED ITEMS
• Electrical items and furniture must be more than six months old, otherwise they are subject to customs duties and taxes
• Invoices required
• Home computers are not accepted as personal effects and will be subject to customs duties and taxes

PROHIBITED ITEMS
• Weapons and ammunition
• Plants
• Alcoholic beverages are prohibited and should be sent separately
• All food products unless canned
• Non-compliance results in heavy penalties and possible confiscation of shipment

MOTOR VEHICLES
• New autos are dutiable
